While most eleven-year-olds are interested in playing video games, basketball or discovering other hobbies, Lamont “Dr. Lamont” Bunyon was already focused on his true calling – becoming a Doctor. “My mom (Madeline Bunyon) asked me at eleven years old what I wanted to be?  I told her I wanted to be a comic book artist because I loved super-heroes.  Mom told me no, you should be a Doctor because you are smart, caring and you would be a great Doctor. She believed in me.  She made me believe in me too.  We made a deal that day that I would become a Doctor, a promise I fulfilled to her and myself 15 years later at 26 years old.”  “Best decision I ever made in my life” said Dr. Lamont, now one of the country’s leading optometrists and private practice owner for 15 years.
